Campaign to stop rebuilding gas power plants in LA is marching on

Power plants in Los Angeles are not the energy solution, the region has the worst air in the Nation. We need to keep fossil fuels in the ground, have renewable energy and clean up our air.

We're expecting the Los Angeles Water and Power to come out with a report in November justifying a rebuilding of gas plants in LA.  The first up is Scattergood in El Segundo.  Plants in Long Beach and Wilmington would follow.   We're having out back-to-school kick off meeting next Sunday the 14th, in Van Nuys.

When: 2:30pm- 4:30pm Sunday October 14th

Where: Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Refuge amphitheater. Just south of Wooley Ave., Turn at the Japanese Garden, then follow the signs on your  right

Who: Join Sierra Club for a picnic and meeting about how you can get involved to fight for environmental justice in your community this year!

Why: To get organized, train activists, & build the future we want for the world!
