Now in its 14th year, the 2017 Adventure Film Festival is an international forum for the best and most inspiring independent adventure films of the year. Encompassing all aspects of adventure, from serious exploration to environmental heroism to gripping tales from the edge of the believable, the festival premieres in Boulder, Colo., before beginning a world tour. Witness gritty, profound, and inspiring films that manifest the spirit of adventure.

This is the first year that the Festival will screen in the Los Angeles area. Join us June 18 at the Hermosa Beach Community Center (710 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach, CA 90254). Doors open at 5 p.m., and films will screen at 6:30 pm. Come early for happy hour and silent auction. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at www.adventurefilm.org/la.

By purchasing a ticket, you also Inspire a love of the outdoors for urban youth. Proceeds from the film festival benefit the Sierra Club’s Los Angeles Inspiring Connections Outdoors (LA ICO) outreach program. The program provides opportunities for urban youth to explore and protect the natural world, develop leadership skills, and foster a love of the outdoors. More than 4,000 youth visited our local mountains and beaches last year through LAICO. Festival sponsors include Intrepid Travel, Fjallraven, and Avery Craft Brewing.
