Angeles Chapter Activist Jeff Yann died on Nov 1, 2016 at the age of 73.

Jeff was an environmental champion, he worked tirelessly on the clean-up of the polluted San Gabriel ground water basin, adding parks along the much damaged twin rivers, researched and promoted cleaner energy and recycling for four decades. His love for the rivers around the San Gabriel helped him coined the name the Emerald Necklace.

Yann helped start the task force dedicated to San Gabriel Valley and the Montebello Hills. He was a proud member for the Angeles Chapter Foundation and was always exploring ways to support work in the San Gabriel Valley and other areas in Los Angeles County, he was a true font of knowledge and will truly be missed.

1999 Jeff received the Weldon Head award the highest conservation award for the Chapter for the long term outstanding service in the field of conservation. Jeff had a phenomenal love for the outdoors he enjoyed hiking and traveling. 
He is survived by his wife, son and daughter and two grandchildren.
