This is the current final stretch in the race to Save Banning Ranch, a 400-acre swath of the last unprotected coastal open space in Southern California. It borders Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach.

Three cctions you can take:

  • Volunteer to distribute fliers, table at an event or get the message out via social media. We need an extra bump in volunteers to encourage Sierra Club members and all California residents to take action – sign the petition, write a letter, contact multiple agencies, etc – This is done via social media (liking, sharing, posting) and old fashion tabling and doorhangers.
  • Attend the Sept. 8 hearing of the California Coastal Commission. The agenda item will come up Sept. 8 or 9; check in with www.Banning.Ranch.info for the latest updates.
