The Angeles Chapter is seeking new members for its Chapter Legal Committee

The committee serves as a pool of pro-bono legal resources to provide advice and legal work to Chapter conservation activists.  It also provides legal information to our Chapter via events and newsletters. Members are lawyers or other legal professionals who have volunteered their time to help Angeles Chapter committees and task forces with their legal issues.

Legal Committee members may be called upon to assist Conservation Committee or Task Force members in evaluating an Environmental Impact Report or interpreting a regulatory agency policy.  In the past, they have presented an Environmental Law Workshop annually for the benefit not only of Chapter members, but also meeting the local legal community’s CLU requirements.

Perhaps you are a lawyer with a background or interest in environmental law, or a recent law school graduate who can offer assistance and build your resume at the same time.

If so, we would like to hear from you. Contact Angeles Chapter Chair Sharon Koch at slkoch@ix.netcom.com or sign up to volunteer for the Angeles Chapter Legal Committee. Check out the committee's website to learn more.
