Congratulations to the five candidates selected to serve on the Sierra Club National Board, the Club's governing body.

The members-only election to fill five spots ended April 27. Top vote-getters are:

--Susana Reyes of the Angeles Chapter, who was re-elected and serves as secretary;

--David Scott, former Sierra Club president and civil rights attorney from Ohio;

--Robin Mann, former Sierra Club president who was re-elected and lives in Pennsylvania;

--Mike O'Brien, a Seattle city councilman from Washington state; and

--Chuck Frank, a former member of the Sierra Club Foundation Board of Directors who was re-elected and lives in Illinois.

Joseph Manning a sustainability advocate from Massachusetts; Judy Hatcher, executive director of Pesticide Action Network North America in Oakland, Calif.; and Luther Dale, retired minister and publishing executive from Minnesota, also had run for the 15-member board. The Angeles Chapter earlier had recommended Reyes, Mann and Manning.

More than 45,000 members nationwide voted. Among those almost 30% were electronic ballots and 70% were mail-in ballots.
