It's time to move the largest municipal utility company in the country, Los Angeles Department Water and Power (LADWP), off of coal-fired power. Los Angeles gets shocking amount of its electricity (40%) from two coal-fired power plants in Arizona and Utah. This July, LADWP released a draft of their Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The IRP will be used as a blueprint to guide the LADWP's energy policy over the next 20 years. It's a tremendous opportunity for residents to have a say in our energy future. This is a crucial phase in the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal campaign.

Mark your calendar for Sunday, September 19 - Beyond Coal BBQ and Canvas Day. 1PM-6PM. Help us spread the word about the Coal Campaign. Contact Evan Gillespie.
