Any tips on how to be both glamorous and green?

Star of stage, screen and holder of several titles (including Miss Whole Wide World), glamorous emcee Bridgette of Madison County eagerly lent her considerable talents in support of the recent Chapter fundraiser.

The Sierra Club is one of my favorite organizations. Their work reaches from my backyard to the world's front yard, Bridgette coos. I've enjoyed camping and hiking since I was a little boy-err, girl-and the world NEEDS The Sierra Club's work. Well, that and I needed the money to buy some pantyhose.

Why was this event such a good fundraiser for The Sierra Club?

It's something different; it's something interactive. Your friends and family can walk in looking to help a great cause, and then walk out with a prize package! Your karma is rewarded instantly at events like this. I also think it's great when all the girlfriends and wives send up their husbands and boyfriends to get paddled. That's when MY karma is rewarded instantly...

Any tips on how to be both glamorous and green?

Become part of the BACK TO M.A.C PROGRAM! All my makeup is from M.A.C. and when you recycle with them by returning your used product packaging, you get your choice of a free lipstick! HOW FABULOUS IS THAT? I've done it for years and I'm proud to be a part of a program and corporation that is environmentally aware. I also think the secret to being green is conserving energy. My energy. That's why I hired a maid.

What do you tell 'go green' naysayers?

I would say is that this isn't YOUR planet. It's OUR planet. Hell, IT'S THE PLANET'S PLANET! Don't put it back the way you found it. Put it back the way you wished you had found it. If you look at all the ways there are to go green, you'll see it's actually beneficial to you, your health AND your wallet.
