HELP STOP CLIMATE CHANGE!
We need your help to plan for a day of global climate change awareness! Help us prepare for Saturday, October 24th - 350 Day. Scientists have shown that if the amount of carbon in the atmosphere tops 350 parts per million, we can't have a planet "similar to the one on which civilization developed and to which life on earth is adapted." The bad news is we're already past that number-at 390 parts per million. The Arctic is melting and drought is spreading. The good news: we have a target to aim for: world leaders will meet in Copenhagen this December to set a new climate treaty - we need to get their attention! The Angeles Chapter will be involved in several events to mark 350 Day on October 24th. We need you help to plan and run these events to make them a success! In Orange County, contact cbuck@Exchange.FULLERTON.EDU. In South Bay. contact alsattler@igc.org

ATTENTION WEB-SAVVY AND/OR TECH-SAVVY MEMBERS!
The Orange County Group needs a webmaster! Duties includes updating hike, outing, program, and conservation information as necessary on our Orange County Group web pages. Join the team, and together we can help make O.C. more "green!" If you have a few hours per month to contribute, we'd like to hear from you! For more information, please contact Orange County Group Chairperson Patti Barnes: mezzohiker@msn.com.

WEB EDITORS, DESIGNERS, DEVELOPERS NEEDED
The Electronic Communications Committee is responsible for the Angeles Chapter's http://angeles.sierraclub.org web site. We are looking for volunteers to work alongside our current dedicated team of volunteers, designing new features, developing additional applications, and maintaining content, helping the site grow. A new Press section and other new features are planned to launch over the coming months. If you have web editorial, design, or development skills, please plan to join us with your thoughts on how to extend the range and scope of angeles.sierraclub.org. Please contact Angeles ECC Chair Steve Luner at steve@luner.net.
