Southern Sierran
Chapter Approves Internet Voting
BY JOE YOUNG
Elections Chair

At the June 28, 2009 meeting, the Chapter Executive Committee gave the go ahead to institute internet voting for Chapter Executive Committee and for the regional group executive committees. Internet voting would be in place for this year's elections.

Voting would be handled in a manner similar to the voting procedures now used by the national Sierra Club election of its board of directors.

Sierra Club members who prefer to vote using a manual ballot would be allowed to do so.
