The following Outings have been scheduled for formal Practice or Checkoff of various skills required toward qualifying as a rated Outings Leader in the Angeles Chapter. Other approved Outings may be added in Group/Section/Committee newsletters. Send a stamped self-addressed envelope (SASE) to the Outing contact for information. Mailing addresses can be obtained from the Angeles Chapter Schedule. Outings with a cost or fee are denoted by ($) under the location.

Please note:
  • For details of the outings, see the Angeles Chapter Schedule of Activities; most require a SASE to the leader.
  • Outings with a cost or fee are denoted by ($). The exception are those requiring a shared campground cost where you will be notified by the trip leader.
  • The Earth Skills and non Sierra Club seminars are listed as alternatives, with no monetary benefit to the Club. Phone directly for information and enrollment. It is advisded to arrange prior approval with the listed contact.
  • M/E Rock and Snow outings are restricted to SC members; SASE/waiver/membership # are to be submitted prior to participation. Technical checkoffs are generally limited to workshop dates and must also be coordinated in advance with the examiners. Participants will supply their own equipment.
  • P = Practice; C = Checkoff
