Leadership Training Committee
LTC offers training throughout the year for aspiring Sierra Club
leaders and others wishing to improve their skills. We sponsor a
seminar required for all leader candidates as well as training in first
aid, navigation, rock and snow. We also maintain a list of private entities that have helped train many of our leaders..
Through our Advanced Mountaineering
Program (AMP), we offer training both for candidates seeking the
Angeles Chapter's advanced "M" and "E" ratings and to leaders who
already have earned these ratings and want to catch up on the latest
