LTC Policy updates:

Revised Evaluator Experience Policy, 30 March 2009.
In the past, evaluators have been required to have two
years of experience at or above the level of the
provisional that they are evaluating.
The revised policy is: "Provisional leader evaluators
shall have been rated at or above the level of the trip
for two years or have a requisite body of experience as
determined by the LTC and Safety Committee."

Publication Policy: The Leadership Training
Committee voted to drop the I/M/E requirement that one
provisional lead be published in the Chapter Schedule of
Activities. The LTC continues to encourage candidates to
seek a diverse group of participants by publishing in the
Schedule, the Southern Sierran, or by co-listing their
outings with several Angeles Chapter entities.

Check-off Policy: If a candidate fails a checkout,
that person should be assigned to a different examiner at
the next checkout that person attends if at all possible.

The National Leader Standards require leaders to refresh their
training at least every four years. This means reviewing
