Mar 25 Sat O: Eaton Canyon: Easy hike planned especially for beginners! Join us on this beautiful trail hike to see one of our local waterfalls. We’ll take this very moderately paced 3 miles round trip, 400' gain hike to the Eaton Canyon Falls. Meet at 9 am at Long Beach rideshare point. Mar 25 Sat C: Little Petroglyph Canyon: Take a guided tour of the most spectacular, well preserved rock art site in the Western Hemisphere, a National Historic Landmark. Thousands of images date back as far as 16,000 years. Moderate: 3 miles, 300 ft loss/gain through a rough desert canyon at 5000 ft elevation. You must be able to negotiate boulders and steep terrain. Plan to start early and be out all day. This event takes place at China Lake NAWS, and requires a lot of paperwork in advance; therefore, an RSVP with payment is REQUIRED before Feb 10 for non-US citizens, and by March 9 for US citizens. Apr 7-9 Fri-Sun O: LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW: Snow fun at Mammoth Bus Trip led by Silvia Darie and Jeffrey Wilson Join us for a wonderful weekend in the snow covered Mammoth! It may be the last chance to play in the snow for a while! Depart Friday at approx 5:30 pm from LA and Valley locations. Return Sunday at approximately 10:35 pm. NOV 24 FRI O: El Moro Canyon Conditioning Hike: Join us as we work off some of those Thanksgiving calories on this moderately paced, limited stops, conditioning hike around El Moro Canyon (Crystal Cove State Park). This will be an 11 mile, 1200' trek. We'll set a moderate pace, get our breathing in sync with our motion, and keep that pace constant up and down hills for about an hour before breaking. Join us on this beautiful trail hike to one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Angeles National Forest via the Mount Vetter Trail.
