Keller Peak Ski Hut was built by the Ski Mountaineers and is managed
for the use of all Sierra Club members by the Keller Hut Committee, staffed by
volunteers from several club chapters, sections, and groups. The hut is located
at an elevation of 6800' between Running Springs and Big Bear Lake in the San
Bernardino Mtns. Chains required when snow
falls.
Facilities:
2 rustic living/dining rooms, 2 dormitory lofts with sleeping pads.
Fully equipped kitchen with cookware, dishes, utensils.
Furnish your own food, sleeping bag, flashlight and personal necessities.
In cold months please contribute firewood for the wood stove and fireplace.
Entry:
Qualified overseers supervise the hut all weekends and are in complete charge. Training is held in April and October each year. The Keller Hut weekend schedule is included in the Angeles Chapter Schedule .
Reservations:
All weekends are reserved whether for individual or group use. Weekends begin
Sat am and end Sun afternoon unless otherwise stated. For open weekends, contact the Reservationist in advance. For group events, call the
Scheduler well in advance of the chapter Schedule deadline to reserve
your date. $50 deposit required for groups. Write-ups are then submitted through
your entity outings chair to the Schedule editor. To attend group
weekends, apply through the event leader or reservationist as listed.

Restrictions:
Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am. Park by cabin or at base of the hill in marked area to left of drive.
A Forest Service Wilderness Adventure Pass is needed when parking at the base of the hill.
Do not park in driveway. In winter, carry chains and be prepared to shovel out parking area.
Please leave pets, heaters, radios and other sound producing devices at home. No smoking in or around hut.
All users share cleanup chores and are invited to attend a work party during the year.
