2I Mayan Peak

Location: Kern County, California

Named by the Forest Service, presumably because of the similarity of the form of this peak to a Mexican ziggurat.

Name first appears on USFS Sequoia National Forest map (1940).

Peak was added to the HPS Peak List in 1970.
