Location: Kern County, California

Named for the nearby "Eagle Mine", itself named after the favorite bird for place names.

Delisted from HPS Peak List when reactivation of mining operations here prohibited free access (1969).

Name first appears on USGS Emerald Mountain quad (1943).

Peak was added to the HPS Peak List in 1966.
