1. LADWP Campaign
Short-term goals: Support implementation of Mayor's complete 1300 MW
Solar Plan.
Ensure LADWP attains energy efficiency & renewable energy targets
Medium-term goal: Support LADWP ending Coal Power by 2020
Long-term goal: Have all LADWP power be 100% renewable.
2A. Cool Cities Campaign OC
Push all 34 cities in Orange County to reduce GHG
Short-term goal: Identify activists in each city to help push Cool Cities
Campaign.
Medium-term goal: Key Cities become a showcase for solar installation
and uses.
Long-term goal: Get all cities in LA and Orange Counties to carry out
the mandates of the Cool Cities campaign, the U.S. Mayor's Climate Protection
Agreement and AB 32.
2B. Cool Cities Campaign LA
Push all 88 cities in LA County to reduce GHG
3. Green Power Campaign
Push more customers to sign up for green electricity from LADWP, Anaheim,
Pasadena, & other municipal utilities
Short-term goal: Inform and urge Chapter members to sign on for Green
Power.
Medium-term goal: Get members of the public to sign on for Green Power.
Long-term goal: Have all power be 100% renewable, so there is no need
for anyone to sign on for Green Power (see LADWP Campaign).
4. Public Education/Outreach Campaign
Short-term goal: Sign up people for Chapter Alerts and Chapter Global
Warming email lists.
Medium-term goal: Shift public perception to understand the urgency of
global warming impacts.
Long-term goal: Engage the public in actively fighting global warming.
5. Solar Permit Fees Campaign
Short-term goal: Publicize report of residential solar PV permit fees
for all municipalities in Southern California.
Medium-term goal: Reduce residential PV permit fees to reasonable levels.
Long-term goal: Reduce commercial and residential PV, solar water heating,
fuel cell and related permit fees to reasonable levels.
6. Support State, National and International Global Warming Campaigns
Short-term goal: Inform Angeles Chapter members about how they can support
State, National and International Global Warming Campaigns.
Medium-term goal: Encourage Angeles Chapter members to involve others
in these campaigns.
Long-term goal: Implement strong global warming policies at all levels
of government.
