Emblems & Recognition of Member Accomplishments
Emblem status is awarded to DPS members who have been members for one year, who have climbed 15 of the peaks on the Desert Peak List, including five of the seven emblem peaks.
First List Completion status is awarded to DPS members who have been members for one year and have climbed the peaks on the current Desert Peak List.
Second List Completion status is awarded to DPS members who have been members for one year and have climbed the peaks on the current Desert Peak List two times.
Third List Completion status is awarded to DPS members who have been members for one year and have climbed the peaks on the current Desert Peak List three times.
Fourth and Subsequent List Completion status is awarded to DPS members who have been members for one year and have climbed the peaks on the current Desert Peak List four or more times.
The Desert Explorer Emblem is awarded to DPS members who have completed at least 40% of the Desert Peak List by two different ascent routes. The purpose of the award is to encourage exploration of more and varied routes on "our" peaks and elsewhere in the desert, by DPS members.
