Sierra Club California Energy-Climate Committee

Mission

Sierra Club's California Energy-Climate Committee seeks to engage Club members and the public in promoting policies, programs and technologies to reduce carbon emissions. As a part of the Club's California-Nevada Regional Conservation Committee (CNRCC) — 13 chapters and 200,000 members in California and Nevada — we focus on energy conservation, efficiency and renewable power. We believe that reducing carbon emissions is a matter of health, safety, welfare, emergency preparedness and national security.

Our Committee meets by phone every Monday noon. The Committee welcomes all Sierra Club members in California and Nevada interested in getting more involved in advocacy and activism on climate protection and the transition to a clean, low-carbon energy economy.
