Let's imagine natural flowing water throughout much of the L.A. Basin. It's not such a far-fetched idea. The watershed of Ballona Creek encompasses 130 square miles, from Griffith Park and Mulholland Highway to Westchester and South LA, to Dodger Stadium and USC. But almost all the creek and its tributaries are in concrete channels, and much of it is buried in underground storm drains. All that can be changed.

The Angeles Chapter Zero Waste Team on April 7 will be hosting an educational interactive Zero Waste Fair-Expo that will teach you how to get on the right path to cutting down on what you throw away.  

Bring your family to this fun event at Grand Park in downtown L.A. Enjoy music, zero waste food, and meet organizations here in LA that are modeling what a zero-waste lifestyle looks like.  The fair-expo runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7 -- and it's free and open to all.
