Co-Chair, Transportaton Committee

Are you sick of traffic and want transit to work better in Los Angeles and Orange Counties? Would you like to help projects get designed and built right with the new funding? The Angeles Chapter Transportation Committee would like to meet you!

This is a very important time for transportation advocates: with funding in place, we can focus on helping Metro's planning process complete their designs well and move forward to construction. Bicycle and pedestrian projects important for livable communities do not have dedicated funding and need advocates for cities' Local Return shares. And we'll grow larger coalitions, both locally and nationally in seeking federal funding reauthorization.

We meet the first Thursday of the month (except not January 1, 2009), 7:00 p.m., at the chapter office, 3250 Wilshire Blvd. #1106. Ride the Wilshire Purple Line subway or Metro Rapid bus #720 to Wilshire / Normandie, park free on the street, or validate under the building off Mariposa.
