CHAPTER ELECTION PROCESS UNDERWAY <a class=nav1 >

The election process is underway. Candidates for Chapter Executive Committee have been nominated and candidate forums have been set.

This year's Chapter Nominating Committee has submitted its report naming 6 nominees who will run for election in this November's election for 4 at- large positions on the Chapter Executive Committee. The nominees are Henry Schultz, Mike Sappingfield, Mary Morales, Paul Koretz, Gerard Lewis, and Darrell Clarke.

Pursuant to Chapter Bylaws, additional candidates may be nominated by petition containing the signatures of 5% of the valid ballots cast in the previous year's election. A petition form for this purpose may be obtained at the Chapter Office from Jane MacFarlane, the Chapter Coordinator.

The candidate forums for candidates to the Chapter Executive Committee are scheduled as follows: Pasadena Group Wednesday, September 3, Orange County Sierra Singles Monday, September 8, Long Beach Group Wednesday, October 1, San Fernando Valley Group Tuesday, October 21.

The Regional Group election process is also underway. The election of Regional groups' own executive committees will take place simultaneously with the Chapter Executive Committee election. The ballots for these elections will be included in the November issue of the Southern Sierran, except for those regional groups which choose to handle their own balloting
