George develops and implements all programs, policies, and initiatives for the chapter. He performs long range planning, makes appropriate recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding short and long term priorities and strategies to develop and strengthen the effectiveness of the chapter. He is responsible for Chapter wide fundraising initiatives including Major Gifts, Cars4Causes, the Hike Donation Program, the 1000 at $100 campaign, the March and August Membership Appeals the Cheers or Tears Tribute Card Program and partnerships with outside organizations and companies such as Warner Bros. He also handles all bequest, annuity and planned giving inquiries.
He manages Chapter staff; supports our members and volunteer leaders, and oversees operations including fiduciary oversight and budget maintenance, programs and projects.
George works in partnership with the Chapter Executive Committee Chair to move Chapter policies and programs forward.
Jane is responsible for office management of the Chapter, including daily administrative operations, training and supervision of the office volunteers and maintenance of the office, equipment and schedule, along with many other administrative tasks.
She also performs all of the Chapter’s accounting duties, from processing donations, invoices and reimbursement requests through closing journal entries and the preparation of the Annual Financial Statement and the annual independent audit.
She trains and supports the Chapter Treasurer and works closely with Chapter Staff, Volunteer Treasurers and the National’s accounting team to comply with the Sierra Club's requirements.

Angélica organizes and implements conservation programs, campaigns, and initiatives according to priorities set by the Chapter Executive Committee. As the Chapter Conservation Program Manager, she is responsible for ensuring that Chapter approved conservation program objectives are implemented, participates in the development of program strategies, and works closely with volunteer leaders on conservation campaigns.
Her responsibilities include campaign strategies for conservation programs and projects in accordance with the chapter policy, and the development of the conservation objectives and priorities of the Chapter. She recruits volunteers and facilitates grassroots involvement in conservation programs. She also speaks to community, political, and governmental bodies regarding chapter conservation efforts, and writes press releases newsletters, flyers, and posts notices on social media to keep the Club membership and the general public informed.
Angélica also coordinates efforts with the national headquarters and field office staff and develops fundraising plans for Conservation campaigns in compliance with 501(c3) funding restrictions.
Mary is an L.A.-based journalist with three decades of writing and editing experience at daily newspapers such as the Los Angeles Times, the Daily News and other publications.
She's also a longtime Angeles Chapter outings leader for the Wilderness Adventures Section and a regular hiker at Griffith Park.
Mary oversees production of the quarterly Southern Sierran print edition, the monthly Southern Sierran e-newsletter and updates the Chapter website with events and news relevant to our readers and to the mission of the Sierra Club.
