ANGELES CHAPTER AWARDS FOR 2007
RECOGNIZE
VOLUNTEER EFFORTS!
Angeles Chapter entities are encouraged
to nominate candidates for awards for Chapter activities every year.
Now is your chance to give recognition to those
individuals who have given so much of their time and effort to the Sierra
Club and the Angeles Chapter.
The Awards Committee wants your ideas on who deserves an Angeles
Chapter award. Examine the list
of the awards and summary of past awardees at http://angeles.sierraclub.org/about/Awards.asp,
then discuss with your group or section committee and send us the names
of your awards candidates along with your reasons for nominating them.
To nominate individuals for their contributions to the Chapter in 2007,
complete the downloadable form on the Chapter Awards page and return
the form no later than Friday, November 2,

PMB 297, Claremont CA 91711-4716. Previous awardees are also listed on the Awards
page, and additional information can be found on the Chapter’s history
pages.
Use the Nomination Form!
It is not enough to submit only the name of a candidate! With more than 50,000 members in the Angeles
Chapter, it is impossible for the Awards Committee to have complete
knowledge of every person's activities. Please provide background material
on your candidate. If selected for an award, the information will be
printed in the Awards Banquet program and in the Southern Sierran. Please be sure to indicate which award your candidate is nominated for!
Current Angeles Chapter Executive Committee
members who were elected at large and Awards Committee members are not
eligible for awards. A recipient of one or more past Angeles Chapter
awards is still eligible for any Chapter award. Deceased
Sierra Club Members are not eligible for posthumous awards. Only a limited number of awards can be made each
year. In the consideration of approximately equal nominations, preference
will go to new names and to entities that have received little recent
recognition. Be selective in your list of nominees.
