Safety Committee Responsibilities

• Maintains Chapter Safety Policy
• Approves Safety Policies for Entities - i.e. Groups, Sections, Committees (G/S/Cs)
• Publishes the Annual Safety Report
• Certifies New Leaders
• Monitors Publications, paper and electronic, to check outings write-ups
• Investigates Accidents, Incidents and Complaints

The Safety Committee, along with the Wilderness Training, and Leadership Training Committees, is an element of the Angeles Chapter outings organization; their Chairs are members of the Outings Management Committee (OMC), the overarching Chapter outings committee.
