The Angeles Chapter’s own Stag Brown has been playing Santa to downtown L.A.’s homeless population for the last 25 years, and last December 19, (a Saturday during the holiday season!), he inspired 71 others to sign up for elf duty. Brown came up with the idea of LA XMAS by Night 25 years ago, and has been leading it in conjunction with the Hundred Peaks Section ever since.

Kicking off each year at midnight, LA XMAS by Night’s participants meet at the Gold Line’s Chinatown Metro station. Walking between Los Angeles Street and Fifth through Tenth Street and Alameda, Brown’s band distributes the food and clothing each member brings.
