1st Saturday Stewards at El Dorado Nature Center

The 44-Minute Downtown Long Beach Trash Pick-Up

First Saturday of every month, 10:00 - 10:44am. Meet at The Creative Design
Lab, 441 E. 1st St. (at Linden Avenue). Come join us as we pick up trash along
Elm, Linden, and Atlantic Avenues. Gloves and trash bags provided, as well as

Bolsa Chica Wetlands Tour

This program by Amigos de Bolsa Chica offers an exceptional on-site
presentation of the Bolsa Chica story. On the first Saturday of each month from
9:00am to 10:30am, our docents gather at the south lot of the Bolsa Chica
Ecological Reserve, across the street from the main entrance to Bolsa Chica
State Beach. Tours are stationed on the footbridge, beginning every 15 minutes.
Five areas of interest are included in the presentation: history, birds,
endangered species, ecology, and restoration. Free, first come, first served.
This is a wonderful opportunity for vacationers, students, small groups, and

30-Minute Beach Clean-up

Beach at the end of Granada Avenue in Belmont Shore. Free parking when you
enter the lot at 1 Granada Ave. after 9:30 a.m. One of the most unique
conservation programs in our City, this year-round effort is one way in which
you can make a difference in the future of the beautiful and fragile coast in
Long Beach. The goal of the 30-Minute Beach Cleanup is to promote conservation
awareness, recycling, and litter abatement through community involvement,
environmental awareness, and stewardship. Provided: free gloves, refreshments,
door prizes and volunteer credit forms, too! NEW: We provide bags but encourage
folks to bring their own recycled bags—like a plastic grocery sack—to pick up

Save Our Beach-Seal Beach
